RANDLAY COLTS JUNIOR FOOTBALL CLUB

Thank you to everyone who donated food and toys to our Animal Rescue collection. Kev, our Welfare Officer, delivered everything to Hillbrae Rescue Centre today, and they were extremely grateful.

Although we weren’t collecting monetary donations, a generous £30 was kindly given on the day. This has now been paid into Hillbrae’s Build a Better Bark fund, which helps improve their facilities.

In Hillbrae’s own words:

For over 35 years, Hillbrae has been rescuing unwanted dogs, and time or money has never been a limitation on a dog’s life.

Every dog that comes to Hillbrae arrives lost and abandoned, with nowhere else to go.

We give hundreds of dogs every year a second chance and have rescued over 21,000 stray dogs from Telford alone. This figure doesn’t include the many more dogs collected or brought to us from across Shropshire.

What many people don’t realise is that the council funds only the first seven days of a stray dog’s care. After that, we rely entirely on public support. Every meal and every vet’s bill is down to us.
